Hi, I am Pete, owner of Brightside SW. I used to be a department head in a large secondary school, but after many years on the educational treadmill, I decided in 2020, it was time for a change. The first lockdown became that catalyst for change, I left teaching and began working for a company offering waste removal, gutters, windows and render cleaning.

I had thought about running my own business over the last few years, but didn’t know what I wanted to do – the new job ticked all the boxes. I enjoyed working on my own, being outside in all weathers and meeting so many different people. I also enjoyed being myself, speaking freely and avoiding the constraints and stresses of the classroom. With this in mind, I left the company after nine months and launched Brightside SW, offering soft wash render, gutter and window cleaning across Plymouth and further afield.
